A Quick Deliberation: Life is a Bitch

Life is a bitch. And I'm not saying it in a resentful way, but, truly, life is a bitch.

So? There are two things we can do about it: one, make that shit become the baddest bitch; or, save our energy and accept it. Either way: deal with it. Live with the fact that life is a bitch.

Life is a bitch. You wake up today in the middle of a goddamn pandemic, your monthly “salary" gets cut off by your parents. About that, you can stand up on your own feet, find a job, and BOOM! you get twice the amount you usually received. Cool move. But some of you don't have any time for a job! What's with all these college works, research papers, case analysis, yadda-yadda, the list goes on. Then that's fine too. You accept however much income you get with a big blinding smile and open heart. Adapt to it. Deal with it. Still, cool move.

Life is a bitch. There is a family gathering you've been longed to attend. ALL of your missed relatives would be there. Lots of physical interactions, which you love, will take place. But right the night before the event, your supervisor email you something. You open it with anxiety, but you already know, really, they're giving you tons of work! The deadline? Forty-eight fucking hours after the email was sent. The consequence? You need to absent from the family gathering in order to finish the work right on time. Or maybe, you have this very crazy idea on your mind: attend the eight hours family gathering then work for forty hours. No sleep. No smoke-break. Just Words documents, snacks, toilets, and repeat. Both ways, the job gets done because you deal with it.

Life is a bitch. Before you take a particular responsibility, you have this picture-perfect image of how you will handle it. Organized time management, soul full of optimistic spirit, you were so ready to break two legs, metaphorically. Along the way, this so-called responsibility becomes one hell of a burden. It takes more of your time than you've spared. And it isn't like 30% out-of-plan kind of trouble, but a 78% anticlockwise and 87% wrong-track one. It puts you in, so far, the lowest point of your life. So you talk to a friend, and they give you an advice: be responsible, whether you do your best or simply “do". With that, what your friend trying to say is, “deal with it, fighter”.

If you haven't realized the pattern yet, let me put it clearly: Life is a bitch, deal with it. Because what else will you do? Either shits were thrown around your way or you’ve brought them upon yourself, deal with it. Giving up is acceptable too, if you can afford it. Yes, my friends, giving up is much more expensive than deal with it. Think about it.

Ckck, the way deal with it has so much power.

My friends, life is a bitch. That is something we can't change. One day we're happy but the next time we know, we are under the bus. Again, in no time, another good time will roll. That's how life is a bitch. It plays us. So deal with it and try to win the game. No matter how good of a player you are, you can't win. Life has cunning ways to find our weakest spot (yes, the reference is from CMBYN). So let it play. You can't lose the game that you don't take parts in.

What if, somehow, we feel like we're losing? LOL, you know the answer: Deal. With. It.

Much love,
